Dr. Howard Huang, MD is board certified in pulmonary disease medicine, and critical care medicine and specializes in lung transplantation and interstitial lung disease. His research interests include the immunobiology of lung transplantation and genetic determinants of lung allograft injury, rejection and acceptance. Dr. Huang received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas before completing internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. After his fellowship training, he joined the lung transplant team at Washington University School of Medicine and engaged in research projects sponsored by the National Institute of Health.
